Kenny’s pain and suffering is now over, he fought a 5 month battle to esophageal cancer, that he was diagnosed With the end of May. He never lost his faith, sence of humor or dignity throughout his fight. Remained in good spirits.
We would like to Thank you to all who have helped during the most challenging and hardest times of his life. It was because of you all that kept him going everyday. A special thank you to his sister Sheila, who moved in the home to help with medication and daily tasks for Kenny. As well his sister Louise for coming and spending many weekends to care for him as well.
The amount of love and support Kenny received, really showed him how loved he was by family and friends!
I would also like to give a tremendous Thank you to his niece, Ashley Rodriguez and her husband Francisco Rodriguez for being their every step of the way, and providing Kenny a home for the past 12 years. And making sure he stayed as comfortable as possible and being his advocate.
Melissa R.N with home health and Agrace hospice team did an amazing job working aside Kenny.
Greg and Thomas recently put a huge smile on his face, by taking him to see the new transformer movie, he also insisted that his great nephew Giovannie went with. Greg took him on a trip to the radio station that kept Kenny smiling and talking for days. He didn’t just get these last memories for himself, but to leave a part of him with you all. To cherish and remember him. His passion for music was something he loved, some of his favorite artist were; Ozzy, metálica, death lepord, buck cherry, guns and roses and the list can go on...
“God saw him getting tired when a cure was not to be. He closed his arms around him and whispered “come to me”. In tears we saw him sinking, we watched him fade away. Our hearts were almost broke , you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully and pain free, we should not wish you back to suffer that again. So please treasure him lord, in your garden of rest, for here on earth he was not at his best”.
You will be loved and missed dearly Kenneth James Duell...
